Ordered a set of BKR7EIX spark plugs. Just a quick question, what gap are people setting these to before fitting them?

They usually come at 0.65mm which is what Revo recommends

Cheers for the reply :)

Where did you order from as I'm looking for a set just not sure who is best?

Thanks

I got mine from amazon for 23quid :)

I got mine from a car parts company locally called ABS in the manchester area £27

Thanks for the tips. Now to get a coil pack puller.

Use a right angled pick and a large flat headed screw driver, works a treat and cheaper than paying £50+ for a kit

Would the BKR8 plugs best for remapped engines, as supposed to a stock engine? Much difference between the 7's and 8's?

Edit - just seen the answer I was looking for from pitbull on another post which I hadn't seen earlier.

What was the answer then?

I would say

7s. Standard

8s. Stage 1

9s stage 2 and onwards.

This is from my own personal experience and tests I've run with my local tuner.

What was the answer then?

Sorry I didn't mention that, this was what helped me, "7s are recommended for stage 1. I had 8s for a while on unmapped car and were fine. Only reason Revo don't suggest the 8s as you may experience rough idle when cold but I never had a problem. Now at stage2 I'm using 9s"

And the above helped to :)

Have ordered a set of 7s as they seem more available. Will see how it goes and change to 8s if necessary.

using 8`s on mine with old coil packs. rough idle is still there sometimes for the first 30 seconds

My plugs came today and they've sent the 8's not 7's out, will these be find with the tuning box?

I run 8s with the tmc no problem.

Still get a rough idle and cold set off though.

I never had ruff idle when unmapped or stage 2 with the 8s. 9s with some cheeky okada packs as of 2day ;)

You reckon they'll be fine then?

How much are those okada packs setting you back if you don't mind me asking?

Just shy of 700 delivered. Will be fine dude.

Where did you purchase them from, okada themselves?

I will stick them in when I get my car back this weekend and see how the go, same 0.65 gap as the 7's did you use? I checked the 8's today and the were gapped 0.76 out the box

ive got some OKADAs in the post for mine as well

double post

Yes mate same gap. You can increase the gap gradually until you get misfires so you have the largest spark possible.

Got mine from the Dutch importer/supplier. They will make you the best price and they are great people to do business with.
