How to write Skoda correctly!

Recommended Posts

Ever wondered how to have the correct S in Skoda, it should be Š, Škoda.

on your keyboard hold down the ALT key and type 0138 and you get Š.

So now you know how to spell out Škoda correctly.

Found on Facebook, Škoda UK. :giggle:

OK, moderators let's have the right Š in the forum.

Glad the way of typing Škoda on Linux was mentioned. I knew I'd seen the trick before but run through loads of weird combinations trying to get it but without success. On the plus side I appear to have a new Šhakespeare play if anyone's interested

Doesn't work for me as I'm on a laptop and don't have the second set of numbered keys on the right...

try using the number lock, then you can use the numbers in the middle of the keyboard (for example, on an HP num lock and U gives 4 - you should see the numbers written on each key, probably in a different colour))

Never mind the spelling, is your pronounciation correct?

Škoda should be pronounced...

Shkod-uh

as opposed to

Skoad-ah

Š š : sh sound in ship

K k : k sound in kit

O o : o sound in hot

D d : d sound in dog

A a : u sound in fun
