Hi I've got a mk1 fab vRS, I'm trying to fit my parrot Bluetooth kit but I'm having trouble gettingthe wires in behind the stereo, I want the screen part over by the light switch and I can get the cables over to where your left knee would be but I can't get them up and inside behind the head unit recess, any help would be greatly appreciated, I've fitted them a lot before but this car seems a toughy.

On my parrot I put the blue control box under the convenience unit under the steering colum and I have loads of cable left. And the power cables run down the right of the stereo to behind the heating controls and then to the control box

I've given up and I'm going to see my auto sparks tomorrow night.

The piece of dash between the stereo and the steering column is impenetrable to anything, I've undone all the screws apart from the ones under heater controls and it won't move, I haven't a torx driver stubby enough to get in under to loosen em.

You don't need to remove the centre console there is a hole either side at the back which you can feed the cables through

It's not the centre console I was trying to removeota thebit between the steering column and the stereo, that's where I'm struggling to get the cable through, I've even tried some strong garden wire but something is blocking it.

That bit's easy to remove when you know how. I think the location of all the screws etc is shown here http://www.fabia-vrs.com/technical-info/cruise-control-retrofit/ One thing to be careful of is that the wires don't chafe when the steering wheel is adjusted.
