Tech1e Citigo, on the cards

Featured Replies

Had a chat with our sales manager yesterday and weighed up a few options for myself and the missus. With the deposit I have as and when the Ibiza sells we should be sitting in a nice new Elegance. Looked into SE which wasn't bad but only a touch more for the Elegance 60 PS thought it was worth the little extra as residuals should be higher. Think we will be going for white, but having seen a red one at work they look pretty snazzy. Got about half a dozen out the back on 62 plates ready to go with more on the way, proving to be very popular. Got a 12 plate new S for £7500 on the forecourt, bargain.

The white and red do look nice, no standard Skoda £400+ charge for metallic paint either which is a large percentage of the cost on a Citygo.

I checkened out of a Spring Green (hadn't seen one yet) and went for the red, because all the fleet vehicles are white.

Will you spruce it up a bit with a stripe etc.. ?

And multi-coloured wheelage :)

Spring green one sat at Tech1e's place yesterday looked very nice.

I'm not usually a fan of yellow cars, but that one out back also looked good.

I'd go for the Elegance over the SE -you get more for your money. I'd also get the extra speakers for £100 (entertainment pack).

My local dealership told me that they'd sold 30 so far

Yellow does suit it. I think a large part of it once I have my deposit will be what's on the system, see of I can find an available one that's built to save a bit of time.

So people sell my Ibiza, tell your friends. Cash incentive for a sale.

It did surprise me Tech1e that for a new car there are quite a few on the system.

When I was looking for the project car for the CityGo-Go there were around a dozen available in one week and about the same number again within three weeks.

Think the bright colours work well with it. You can manage to be a bit bolder with colour on a smaller car I think :)

Sounds good Ross - look forward to seeing it :)

I'm seeing a fair few Ups! around here, but haven't spotted a CitiGo yet. Having the VW dealership just round the corner does affect sightings a bit really!

hmmm i could just buy it back now couldn't i.

Be a bargain at half the price.

Following the addition of the multicoloured wheels, the coilovers, the replacement pedal box I reckon it'd be the cheapest route to modification ever! ;)

Saw a silver one and a candy white one, the white looked very nice in my opinion!

What are these cars on the system?

Surely they should be concentrating on building the on order cars!

I was waiting for Tech1e to do something interesting. But he needs the car first. :D

They are order cars, some dealers order them for stock, but even customer orders appear on the system and will show allocated or not.

It will remain standard, promise.

Hmmm.... somehow I don't think you'll me able to help yourself.

I thought you were putting a 1.8t in a Fabia. Is that still happening?

  • Author

Yes the 1.8T is still happening.

The Citigo will become the other halfs when the Fabia is back on the road and I'll sell her Arosa on. She normally likes an auto as she has fibromyalgia and finds a manual difficult after a time but the Citigo is that light and easy she thinks she will be fine with a manual.

For now, this will do ;)

Handy :)

My dad has the same condition. It's horrible to see when his muscles are playing up.

Can understand why you'd normally go for an auto.

And understand why the Ibiza wasn't popular if we needed to swap cars lol

Got this in today, 3dr elegance in white with panoramic roof. Would be perfect for me :)

It will remain standard, promise.

Boo. :D

I like that! Especially the roof...

Still think the green is my favourite though.

They are a lovely looking little car, one of the best quirky looking superminis out there I think, then I am a little biased being a Skoda owner lol.

I like them in White with the black stripes and dark alloys.

Be sure to put pics up once you have got it!
