neat, understated yet anyone seeing those AP calipers would know it's serious - like it.

The photos I should of never seen.

Stuart,

What offest are the wheels?

Looks very nice btw :D

Although I'm not too keen on the wheels, those brakes look awesome! Very nice  !

Very, very nice!!! I can only dream..........:(

I like the wheels - gotta have plenty of space to show off those brakes!!

Wouldn't be Swissol on the paintwork by any chance? :D :D

Very nice...

Thanks Paul for posting the pics & thanks all for the comments

Jon, Wheels are either et35 or 38 not sure, sounds silly I know but I chose the cheapest 17" that I liked & then borrowed a wheel to take to Ian Godney & had the brakes made to suit, calliper to spoke clearance is about 4mm.

Howard, yep Swissoled it is

no probs... how much wor they if u dont mind me asking? (brakes)

Paul,

For prices you are best talking to Ian Godney direct as it depends on exactly what you want.

He is currently doing a Brembo option which is slightly less but I personally am not mad on Red Callipers & also whilst both are 4 pots the pads are quite a bit larger in the AP therefore my logic was bigger pad gives more braking area.

I could have gone 6 pot but I thought that was overkill as I dont think std tyres would give enough grip to justify the extra

have mailed him.... as my calipers are green i dont give a toss on colour

But if you changed the colour then they wouldn't match your neons... :p

but they will match your bruises if you carry on;)

I was just saying...

:D

Rob.

Not fussed about callipers but I really do like those wheels. Shouldn't the side repeaters be smoked?

Denis,

Trying to keep it looking as standard as possible so no more external mods at the moment, a couple of people have suggested window tints as well but again thats moving away from the script.

The wheels were changed as I could not fit the brakes into the 16" wheels & were chosen on price as much as looks although I must admit I am glad I changed them & they each cost about

I admire your forward thinking and resistance to temptation to having the work done the RIGHT way round !

I will say that the 4x4's (soft) chassis copes admirably well with the 150 - 220 power hike ( provided that you drive half sensibly).

When you go to Crowland, you should find that the power 'slots-in' very nicely indeed to your modified platform.

I'm also sticking with the stealth approach - that's half of the appeal after Subaru ownership :)

On the subject of AP V Brembo, aren't the sealing against the elements better on Brembos than APs?

Just thinking of how long before they need a rebuild, thats all. And when you so Godney, is that the fella from godspeed?

MeatballTurbo

These are the new AP 4 pots & AP have aparently redesigned the seal due to this very problem.

I agree the old ones had a reputation for problems with road use.

Time will tell if they have got it right

Yes , Ian Godney is "the man from Godspeed". I had his brakes on the Scoob before & was very pleased, hense why I used him again
