Alot of the time, when I try and open my boot, the boot lid pops up, but doesn't actually open ? sort of like the lock has stuck ? The only solution seems to be to push the boot back down so the lock clicks and keep trying. Anyone else have this problem ?

The mechanism has bent slightly if you pop the cover off from around it. Then give the right hand moving part as you look at it a light tap with a socket extension bar. Not too hard about how hard you hit a nail to make it stay in so you can move your fingers away should sort it out

I agree, it happens with mine somtimes.

If you open the boot and look down at the lock, press the trigger on the boot you press to open it and you'll see the peice of metal swipe across, that bit has bent out of place and neess straightening up.

My cure... open boot initially by pushing down on lid whilst pulling button, or get in through back seats and pull the lever.

remove plastic cover and grease or oil every moving part in there including the spring looking thing

once all greased pull trigger boot release a load of times before closing to spread the grease

then close and it should work. Mines still working a few months later.
