Knocking noise from petrol tank when refuelling

Featured Replies

Hi

The last couple of times I have refuelled the car, towards the end of the process I have noticed a knocking noise coming from the tank. Is this normal or something that I need to get sorted?

Thanks for any help.

You have to say who's there? and the car will tell you a joke. Nah its just bubbles making they're way out is it not?

either that or there's not enough lead in the fuel! ;)

To be serious just for a moment I think you'll find the noise your hearing is the suspension settling from the weight of the fuel.

ah yes and handbrake settling too

Could be that ' tiger in your tank '
