Hi Guys/Girls.

I'm new onto the site and couldnt see anything on this topic...forgive me if its already been spoken about!

Anyone had trouble with water in the rear footwells? I only realised when the smell of damp became unbearable and the windows started gumming up all the time.

Mk1 or 2 Fabia?? If 1 then better posting in Mk1 forum :)

I ask as there was a problem with a few rear door seals on the Mk1

Welcome aboard!

a common thing that happens on cars with manual rear windows, is the windows wind down slightly over time if not used... just get hold of the window winder and wind it up to see how much slack there is in it! ;)

I have to do this about once every 6 months as can hear the wind noise comming from the back...

of course your seals could be buggered on the doors, not a problem thats been reported as far as I know on the mark II, but was common on the mark I

Also are the drainage holes blocked windscreen ?

How do I check if they are blocked or not?

Look in the drainage slot near wiper blade any debrie like twigs or leaves, get some water and pour it if it's draining slow it may be blocked, remove inner wheel arch cover and have a look

Massive thread on door leaks in the MK1 section :)

This is common issue on all MK1 Fabia. Actually i don't think there is anyone with preFL Fabia MK1 who has not experienced this on all four doors. :)
