Don't mention " Brimma, Taff170, Babs, Llannigraham or Yeti " in the same sentence and you'll be fine

Same, mine is absolutely fine!

Thanks for the answers. Just one thing, are you sure that it unlocks in the usual Skoda way? That is when you stop and remove the ignition key, the passenger door and hatch unlock.

This is the main query still outstanding. Countrigo was taking this up with his dealer. He, like several of the rest of us, have the autolocking activated at 10mph, but when the key is removed, the system does not auto unlock like other Skoda models

Would you mind doing a double check and confirming please?

... and that was without any intervention by you with the Dealer, eg it just worked out of the box?

drive above 10mph it locks, when stopped people from outside cant open doors, get out of car doors unlock, boot/hatch ISN'T unlocked so have to use button on key to unlock boot and unlike some cars when you stop and take key out of ignition and open door you don't hear it unlock

hope this helps :)

Apols - I have been away.

I took my car in last week and am delighted to report that my Citigo now locks itself up as you drive away and then unlocks as you remove the ignition key, exactly as the handbook says it should. I did not have any direct contact with the service department (dropped car in after work one night and picked it up after work the next), so I was dealing with the salesman, but he said that initially the service people had only activated one stage of the program, and on this visit they activated the other.

From my experience and what people are saying on here, I am assuming that the requirement for the second stage can't be very obvious to the technician at the time, so I hope that this info will help those who would like the full package to get what they should have.

The other thing the salesman told me (this was like my dream visit) is that there is going to be a recall to fit the missing bag holder hook in the glovebox catch. Good news or what?

Great news cant wait, although I don't know why they didn't fit them in the factory like the brochure says :)

Brilliant! Thanks for this information and your effort. I spoke to my dealership workshop manager today and he seemed aware that the full standard VAG autolocking can be done.

Just a thought - perhaps it's a two part operation deliberately for the earlier reasons we discussed re: anti-hijack. A person stopping and removing the keys in a 'dodgy' area could render them vulnerable to this. Maybe it's something that should be thought about carefully before ordering.

Will await more news on the bag holder as and when :-)

Good luck with this feature/nuisance. On my Yeti this is a 2 part self-select operation; possibly for the very reasons just mentioned?

Many thanks for that information - I had my full auto-locking and unlocking activated yesterday!

Countrigo - Just wondering - did you hear any more about the bag-holder hook?

I was in touch with the salesman about 1st Nov and I asked him about the bag hook: he was still adamant that there is going to be a recall and that he will automatically be instructed to make contact with all affected customers. No word on exactly when, though.

Thanks for the update Countrigo. I spoke with my dealer on the subject a month or so ago. He was not aware of a recall, but said that this was often the case until notification was received.

Quick update...despite waiting over an hour for my local dealer to activate auto door lock at 10mph, only to be told it cannot be done....I have today enabled it on my car with Vagcom.
