can u fit a this in a fabia estate

Featured Replies

fish tank 5 feet long by 2 feet by 2 ft plus a cabinet 5ftt long by 2.5ft by 2ft?

might need to make two trips if it can't all fit in.

edit: in the brochure it says front to back is about 1.8metres but this is from the front footwell to the back. 5ft is about 1.5m so would the tank fit if angled slightly and reclining the front passenger seat all the way down.

Hmmm, snug, but might fit. I think it would need passenger seat taking out and having the cabinet pointing down there and into the footwell, then hope the tank sits to next to it, to the right, butting up to behind the drivers seat. Not sure there is 1.8m from back of drivers seat to the bootlid though? If its dry, suppose you could drive with bootlid open and it sticking out a bit?

I don't think that will fit as I couldn't fit ours in a Mitsubishi Grandis! I think you will need two trips.

I only just fitted my 160 l tank and cabinet in my Volvo v70, tank was ok, it was the base that only just fitted, it was already built, so think you might struggle in the fabia

Springs, exhaust, induction kit etc all common mods -but fitting a fish tank, that I have never seen done on a Fabia! ;-)

:giggle: all that fuss just to give it away in 6 months like everyone does with fish

I had a 6 foot flat pack wardrobe in mine; can't remember how I did it. Oh plus an assembled bedside cabinet.

Tony

had some 900 x 1800 sheets of gyproc in my greenline estate, but they went just up over the front head rests, so i think not,

if you have roof bars and it is less than 50kg

bit of polystyrene between tank and bars and carefull securing, all assuming not a 50 mile trip home

it's a about 60 mile round trip

i now realise there is also the lid for the fish tank, 5ft by 2ft by about half ft

it would also need at least 2 or 3 people to lift it, so need to carry a passenger or two as well

Two trips then for sure. 60 miles isn't too bad to do twice.

Bit posey, a fish tank in a car! Whats wrong with the usual nodding dog on the back parcel shelf? :giggle:
