I'm sure there is a member on here who had LED DRLs around the headlight like Audis have. I can't remember his name though. I think there was a mixed reaction to them, some people liked them and some didn't.

BTW, I bought a Depo replacement headlight and wasn't impressed by the quality, however I don't know what their Xenon ones are like. (there was a group buy a while ago).

Am I right in thinking that xenons retrofitted without self-levelling and headlight washers arent road-legal tho?

Technically Yes, but they came out in Jan this year and most people (inc myself) have been through MOT's since and nobody has had an issue.

Just make sure you get the beam level checked (and adjusted if need be) after you fit them and they are fine.

From what I understand is, if the car is fitted with headlight washers and/or levelling, they must work, however, if the car is not fitted with them, they can't be tested so the cay will still pass, as long as the beam meets the retirements.

It's a bit like a spare tyre, if you have one, it has to be legal, but if you don't it can't be tested, therefore fine.

Just had my car mot'd with retro fitted xenons and washers. Passed fine, they check the beam alignment as normal but the xenons are oem quality in terms of beam reflection/pattern so you will have no worries at all. If you have the xenons but NO washers they can't test the washers as they aren't fitted so it is a pass. If you have the xenons and washers, the washers MUST work to get a pass.

Correct ^^^^^ ;-)

(apart from u dont check the spare wheel in an MOT)

Aren't the ones on venom motorsport angel eyes? If so could you just unplug/disconnect the angel eye?

Tried PM'ing but won't let me.

Been wanting to do that on mine since December but struggling to get a lot of the parts, tempted to use some from a different car...

Been told the front bumper is different for mounting the headlight washer jets, how did you find this?

Also for programming them in, how did you do it?

Thanks :)

Have sent you a pm mate!

Basically the bumpers are the same but have different mounts attached to the back of them to enable the screw fittings of the washer jets. You'll need the 5lt washer bottle and the additional pump unit. There is also a wiring loom that attaches to the additional motor and into the cem/ fuse box. The loom I had was cut so I used a relay and wired that so it was only live with the lights on, so would only jet the lights with them on.
