Left carless for the weekend

Featured Replies

Re yesterday's post about warning lights, happened again on the A19 this morning. Great service from Skoda Assist/RAC who got the car to the Skoda dealer in middlesbrough and got me home. Obviously nothing will be looked at until monday morning now.

A bit peeved about this but I suppose these things happen. I don't want to be in "limp" mode on the motorway!!! Got to question the monster's reliability though.

if you called out Skoda assist they should have arranged for a hire car for a few days.

Never offered.

What were the actual symptoms, warning lights etc?.

Ring them back and say you need a replacement vehicle... I've got one

Today third occasion epc lightand exhaust fault light came on. The danger is I lose power as the engine goes into limp mode....and its not good at junctions and roundabouts.

Mine (Fabia vRS did similar) its been at the garage over a week now... Ring SA and ask to be provided a replacement vehicle until yours is returned... You'll be given one

Remind them that you didn't spend ££££ on a car to ride on a bus.

Thanks all for your advice..we are now mobile with a hired Insignia until the beast is. tamed.

They have given you a VAUXHALL  Oh well, at least you can give it back when your beloved Skoda is back on its wheels. :giggle:
