Buy or not to buy

Featured Replies

Good afternoon,

Ive had my old Fabia VRS now for 6 years and its been great. I would like a new VRS but I am undecided at the moment since I have been reading about the faults etc, however them seem to be quite old before 2012 and i'm sure VAG would be sorting/sorted them. I do like to have bursts of sprited driving and I also like 40+ mpg. Am I making the right decision to get a new VRS over my old one?

My mum changed from her pd VRS to the mk2 and hasn't looked back , she doesnt miss her old one at all apart from the economy

Have a drive of one and see what you think

Fun to drive .. But in my opinion not as good as my old Octavia vrs. I sometimes wish i would have bought a new Octavia. Never mind.

I would go and get a test drive & then let us know what you think please.

We love our vrs it has the space we needed and has been problem free for the past 19 months of ownership and will hopefully stay that way (touch wood)

I was in pretty much the same position (although only had my MKI vRS for two years). I had my doubts about the MKII but I was converted after a test drive.

As other posters have recommended, try before you buy - nothing to lose.
