LG Optimus 3d Android 2.2.2 no compatible with bluetooth arrrgh!

Featured Replies

I've tried pairing up my phone to the bluetooth device in the car and it wont seem to connect, it finds the phone ok, but thats as far as I can get when I get a lovely message saying phone not compatible!! (59 plate bluetooth module)

Now, as far as I am aware, and I have tried looking for a firm update for my phone, but it doesn't seem to have anything available since it was launched over a year ago.

I tried looking for the bluetooth from my phone to car, and it can't find it like that. So I'm very confused why it's not compatible!!

I have googled the list of phones that work and a lot of them are Android based products.

Does anyone have any other ideas that I could try, or do I just have to put up with a phone that wont connect because its stupid! :(

Thanks for any advice! I know it might be a tricky one...

Some Android handsets do have compatibility issues with the Bluetooth modules.

Have you checked for updates via the LG Support site? http://www.lg.com/uk/support-mobile/lg-P920

(I'm presuming it's the P920 model)

Hi Steve, yeah thats the one, thanks for the link! It's been updated to 2.3.5 now and it still didn't work. It's a bit of a p.i.t.a!!! I guess I'll have to wait til I get an upgrade contract. I'll look out for Skoda's list of compatible phones on their CZ site.

OK, it can also depend on which version of the BT module you have installed.

Is there any opportunity for you to get an VCDS autoscan done from someone local. It's useful to have anyway, so you have a text file that lists the details of each module the car has, and it's revision.

That aside, it could be the perfect opportunity for a phone upgrade ;)
