Superb Mk1 Steering Wheel Control Adapter - Help!

Featured Replies

I hope someone can help me. I've just installed a Pioneer AVH-4400BT stereo, along with the autoleads steering wheel adapter in my 2004 Superb Comfort 1.9 TDI. The issue that i have is that the adapter doesn't pair with wire in the car adapter.

I've spoken to Dynamic Sounds, where i bought the stereo, etc. from and they confirm that the harness is correct for my car, and that they don't have another option - which having looked at the ISO PIN thread, appears to be correct, (Block C2, Pin 11 = Steering wheel control). However my car seems to be different, my wires in the C2 block are Pins 7 & 9, circled in red - although the actual shape of my block appears different, with the 'wings' at the opposite side of the plug. Pictures attached as proof! :) Any advise would be greatfully received, whether there is an adapter available or if the one i have can be modified to work, and if so which pin to hook up to.

Has no-one tried doing this? :(

  • 10 months later...

I have a Skoda superb 2002 1.9tdi and have just put in the Pioneer AppRadio3 SDH-DA110. Stereo works fine, but am having difficulty with the steering controls. I too have the correct harness (cs-sk001) from Car Connect 2.

Currently, the 'spare' plug I have (before the stalk harness) is the same size as the the other two main plugs but is half green and half blue with a brown single cable coming out the end and also a single blue cable.

The 'spare' socket on the harness where I would expect this to fit is too big! Also, there are only two pins in that socket, one connected to a black cable and the other connected to two brown cables.

Any suggestions please?

Thanks

Kam
