Correct tyres .

Featured Replies

AFAIK, correct size on my 1.4tdi is 185x6014 with a speed rating a bit more than Skoda suggests on factory fit. Every query on a tyre place comes back with 185x70x14 .Not much difference,I admit, but I'm wondering if the experts have got it wrong.

Anyone help/offer advice.

185/60 r14 ...for def m8..

the only other 14" size VAG use is 165/70 r14..

+ thats on smaller stuff like VW fox + UP

Thanks,Matt- didn't think it was anything different,as I've had car since 15k, and it had what I'd suppose would be factory fit on.

Another question- got a couple of dodgy ( starting to crack) valves. SIL has access to tyre workshop, but not valves. Seen packs of 10 online, but there's a few differing types. Local tyre places want approx £5 per valve + fitting charge. Anyone know the numbers of the common types of valve fitted ?
