Must be a day for nice surprises - had my e-Sure renewal quote today. Fully comp, protected NCB, but no added things like legal whatsit.

1.8 TSi coming up for 4th birthday, and under 7000 per year. Premium £166 !!

Did compare sites a week or two ago and couldn't get same cover below £185 (but will do them again just to check.)

I've NEVER before had a renewal quote that was cheaper than my original "new business" year by nearly £20 !

I have had a few renewals this year that were down

The Excess's were up by £50 tho.

What about your Quote, any change in the Terms, Excess, Windscreen excess etc?

Got renewal for my car in UK and it went up lol cheeky feckers! £510 for a FC policy with EVERYTHING added furby VRS in UK cost me £300-£330 a year and that was 3 years ago! I have even more protected NCB now and no points etc.

ps. £166!!!!!!! how many more decades do I need to live to get a price like that?

£330 i paid this year or there abouts, 29, 6 years NCD, car in sig. Wifes insurance is something like £230.

No, I checked that very carefully - all the same as last year, no compulsory excess, voluntary still £250 etc

When I did an "as if new quote" on the compare sites, e-Sure is £20 dearer again!

Well, it isn't a vRS but the TSi doesn't hang about either! I'm the young old age of 67

Car hire and legal cover seem to add a lot to small premiums.

maybe they have cut the admin fee for renewals over new business that may explain the £20
