3 beeps when starting

Featured Replies

Hi All

Last few days when first starting the '56' 2.0 FSI I get 3 loud beeps. No error lights or lights staying on. Any ideas?

Also, how do you get to the error codes. Looked once about 18 months ago but I have been searching the Forum and cannot find how to do it now - doh!

Cheers Andy

P.S. Or do I need someone near Bedford with VAGCOM?

If you are not getting any warning lights, then is there a little grey spanner appearing on the display, which then goes away after the last of the beeps? If this is the case, then it could be warning you that a service is due.

I get 3 very quiet chirps after I start mine up, from the back i think, they aren't loud though

Hi

No, no spanner. Only does it on first start of the day and then not every day. Does the service warning not occur every time you start up?

Could be worth cleaning the brake sensors, I had a problem like this on a 2001 Seat Toledo.

Prongs in the coolant bottle, as per the other older skodas?

The bottle hasn't exactly changed in design, so I'd think that's worth a check first,

If the two mettle prongs look like they have some scuzz on them, then give them a clean off with a flat screwdriver or replace the bottle.

As above, has the level dropped in your coolant bottle? If so it will beep.

If the coolant level has dropped or your washer bottle is low then you get the beeps & a warning light .

My previous Fabia vRSdid this.

Reading the 2011 manual it says 3 warning signals sounding to be a priority 1 fault. Save the link and search the pdf file for "warning signal" and it will bring you threw different possible reasons there are many tbh.

Low battery voltage is one of them

Low battery voltage is one of them

That would be an ideal one fingers crossed
