2005 Skoda Octavia II 1.6 FSI, front brake discs, 280 or 288 mm ?

Featured Replies

Hi, I am new for the Octavia. The front brake discs are due to change soon.

While searching the internet, found there are two sizes 280 and 288 mm diametere for the front brake discs.

How can I find out which one is right one for my car?

Also, is there a website we can check OE parts no.?

Thanks in advance.

Look on your front callipers.

Do they say FS III or ATE? One of those should be cast into the outer face of the calliper.

At a guess, 280mm, but that is a guess. 1.9TDi are 280mm, so I would have thought you were as well.

Hi thanks for your reply.

Went to check the car at lunch break, do found 'FS' on side of the calliper.

Is that lead to a conclusion of 280mm or 288mm?

I think the fsIII is the 280mm set up.

The ate comes in 288/312 and I know the system is different.

Sure somebody will confirm the fsIII size either on here or in a parts dept from the motor factors

If you give ECP your reg number they should get the correct ones for you
