Rear interior cabin light

Featured Replies

Hi folks,

Which models came with this?

I've ordered a Monte and the ones I've seen didn't have it, but my mother in laws elegance (60 plate) has one....

I have read that if you specify the rear electric windows you'll get the rear light fitted?? Is this right, can anyone clarify?

Thanks in advance.

Steve :)

Anyone able to shed some light (pardon the pun) on this??

Steve

I cant tell you what DOES have them, just that many peeps have said they DONT!

There was a thread somewhere here, where someone retro-fitted their own one... i think it was either the standard light or one from the VW/audi range.

Basically, the person got the unit, cut the roof lining hole and either tapped into the wiring or the wiring was already there "Just in case".

Unfortunately, I cannot remember any more then that, aside from that there was a pictorial to go with it. As no-one else has yet replied, I hope that helps!

P.S. I have a Greenline and that came without a rear interior light. Rear 'leccies were als not an option, for some reason, despite only being about a £150 upgrade. I asked the dealer but they said they could retro-fit them but it would cost a lot more... I declined! (I think they ae now available on the Greenline 2)!

Standard on the elegance spec

I've not checked, but then again, they only annoy me when my kids figure out they can reach them and leave them on, so I wouldn't be unhappy if it wasn't there!

To clarify....you have a rear cabin light then?

Don't know - I'll check later. I don't think so, but I wouldn't have a cause to check (other than turning it off after the kids...).

I can confirm, no back light. The Monte's pretty dark back there, so I have bought the kids head torches. Simples!
