Trunk Dome Light For Rear Seat Lighting

Recommended Posts

My car does not have rear dome light or cluster.

There is a baby seat on the rear and needed lighting in the dark to see the belt clips etc.

I've removed the trunk dome light and fitted to the car roof liner. No need to remove roof liner.

I've used steel wire for guidance first, to find a way for wiring. Then as you see ;)

You can also find alternatives on ebay, very cheap ;) I've ordered a dome light to replace it from local dealer.

irfant use [ img ] [ /img ] at the start and the end of the pics cause they don't show up.

By the way that is not a bad idea at all. I was planning to place another dome unit but I guess that would be more expensive and more tideous to install.

Doesn´t it mean that you have to get a new rooflining...? Looks like the lining is shaped after the light.

I think you are right. The roof there looks like it has a shape and it looks deeper in order to allow the unit to fit properly.

Says it doesn't fit the Fabia:

sorry, nothing for Fabia II currently..

superskoda.com

The LED dome for the trunk from superskoda is the same for Roomster, Fabia II and Octavia II.

I have installed the one from superskoda in my Roomster and it works perfect.

On eBay if found this, and I believe it is the same as superskoda.

This is the label on on the box from superskoda - http://www.superskoda.com/Skoda/OCTAVIA-II/Octavia-II-MEGA-powered-LED-dome-light-for-your-trunk
