is this vrs worth the price

Featured Replies

Hi all

I am after one now that I have been paid. Do you think this is worth the price tag? I am yet to find out if it has any MOT or tax, and whether the FSH includes any timing belt and pump changes, as I think it should have by now. I know pictures can be deceiving, but it looks in good condition.

Personally I think it isn't, and maybe should try £3500 for it, pre-facelift, only just under average miles, 8 years old...

Any thoughts please?

Plain no £5k nearly IMO, great looking car but surely no worth this, however I ay be wrong tho

Used car expert comes up as £3,300 low, £4k max.

Cheers gaz

Dealers really have some comedic pricing on the forecourt right now.

No wonder they're selling bog all used stuff. Some around me have had stuff sitting for close to a year.

I would have thought 3.5k is about right!

nothing in for sale section? i would expect 55-06 plate for that

A few, going to look at the red one for 2900 hopefully on Friday.

The one on auto trader, something under the front right side bumper under the guard was very oily and covered in mess, spoiler had peeled and faded, driver side door window wouldn't open, right hand mirror adjustment controlled both sides for some reason, rear tires were worn more on The inside than outside, few scufs and scrapes which i don't mind as is 8years old, hole and worn driver seat. Not as immaculate as he made it out to be. Didn't take it out as i had to go to work.

Right hand mirror adjustment moving both mirrors is normal.

Oh Oki. Cheers

Right hand mirror adjustment moving both mirrors is normal.

Apologies for the hi-jack, but is that on all year models? As I don't remember mine doing that.

keep an eye on ebay, a black one with lower miles went for £3700 recently.

My polo did that but driver side on vrs does both separately.

Do some more research into the mk1 fabia, the spoiler affects all vrs's, the oily mess could have just been a loose boost pipe, the intercooler weeping oil or a driveshaft seal thingy - all of which are easy to fix and would get you some £££ off that horrendous price!

also check the link in my sig for common issues with 6y fabia's also there is the technical guides section

It can be changed via vagcom iirc, but early ones did from factory I think

Bump!

Noticed you (op) bought one from here!

Yes i did last night. From the bloyn in nottingham. Drove it the 70 miles back last night, very pleased with it.

It has a remap on it which i would like more info on really, but it was on before Nathan had it and there is no history of it.

My third vrs now, and happy to an back in action!
