Came back to my car this evening to find a note under the windscreen wiper. It read "damage to headlight washer, no further damage", fortunately they left their registration number and a contact number.

On closer inspection the bumper is cracked / heavily scuffed, the headlight washer completely snapped off, the headlight is scratched and the indicator lens is cracked. The black bump strip is also scuffed and partially dislodged from the bumper!

I called the number and a nice lady apologised and told me someone would return my call and "sort it out" - still waiting for the call.

I'm a bit concerned that the note said damaged headlight washer, no further damage, whereas there is actually quite a bit of damage. I plan to take some photos tomorrow.

I think I'd have taken pictures there & the. In the position it was in when hit personally.

If nothing else it should restore your faith in others, it would have been so much easier for her to drive off without leaving her details.

Are you fully comp if so tell your insurance co and pass on the details you have and they will sort it out.
