New head unit problems

Featured Replies

After searching through old posts I am rather confused, felicia wiring has no switched live for stereo, but 2 perm lives?

The new unit will only turn on (which it does automatically) with ignition on/engine running. Turn ignition off and HU turns itsself off too, losing all settings/stored stations etc.

It seems with Fellys and aftermarket HU's the usual problem is the HU is always powered? This is how i want it! (Use radio a lot with car stationary)

Factory fitted unit also powers itsself on/off on ignition but can also be turned on/off without.

Replacement unit is a Pioneer DEH-2400UB.

Any advice? emoticon-0112-wondering.gif

cheers!

i should probably do the same..

If he turns it up to 11, you should be able to hear it in Birmingham ;)

^ Spinal Tap, 11 on the amp :giggle:

head unit is 50w x 4 = 200watts just run wire to battery with a inline fuse and same grade wire for a ground stops all the lights flickering with the heavy bass line

its even more powerfull now rainbowfire need a "fun truck" for the space
