Mirror glass replacement (pre-FL)

Featured Replies

Why renew the glass? Just pull it off and re-stick it to the backing plate. Quite a few mentions of this happening on here, including me.

Some use double side tape but I preferred a strong 5 minute epoxy cement.

Mine did the same, just pulled the glass off and used silicon to sick it back, worked a treat the heated mirror still works

Thanks guys.

I've already reseated the glass with epoxy but not that happy with the result and to be honest I'd quite like a new one. And for that cost it seemed worth doing.

No Mike - I'm still on the normal pre-FL one. I did contemplate fitting the FL ones, you're right - but the wiring is slightly different and I didn't continue any further with it.

Cheers,

Steve
