brake lights always active.

Featured Replies

noticed a potential feature today. stopped the car and turned it off with my foot still on the brake pedal as I generally do.

turned the car off and noticed the brake lights were still on.

never had a car that did this before so I took the key out and locked myself in and still the brake lights came on when I pressed the pedal.

is this normal? will try tomorrow after a fresh unlock.

sorry I'm sad and notice boring things.

Yes.

My basic '59 plate Fabia had brake lights that worked even with the ignition key out, like most Japanese cars. On my current '61 plate Fabia SE Plus the brake lamps only work with the ignition on.

Make of that what you will
