Carbon fibre wrapped my front grill today ejegejud.jpg

Pleased but think ill be having another go at it at some point cause there's a few issues.

So anyway yeah early last week I was driving along at steady speeds on steady roads. Had the passenger side window down a bit and pressed the button to wind it back up then CRUNCH!!! The window just fell all the way Down. So a ****ed off me rang the garage I bought the car from just 3 weeks ago complaining. The guy who sold me the car said to me down the phone " your not covered for windows on your warranty and will be looking at 153 quid". I wasn't happy. I searched eBay for the regulator kit which is what I needed. Found one for 20 quid and rang him back asking why it was going to cost 153 when I can get the kit for 20. Anyway he soon changed his tune and carried on to tell me that he had a look at my warranty and that I should be covered. I had already previously told him that he was gettin it fixed and I wasn't paying a penny. So yeah a guy from contracted garage gave me ring and arranged the car to go in for repair. Took the car and got the window fixed. Cheeky lad at the garage tried charging me 40 quid labour. His excuse was " your warranty company are only paying us to complete the job in half hour and obviously it takes longer" I then said " I ain't paying a penny mate , contact Martin at the garage I bought it from and he will pay. Now me being smart had already asked the guy for my key so I could put something in the car ( massive train for my son ) . So I had the key. I said listen mate Martin is paying not me, if you want I can sign all the papers and drive off in a reasonable manner or I can just jump in the car now and go home for my tea. He said " ok fair enough just let me ring Martin" he come off the phone saying " I'm really sorry about that mate Martin has agreed to pay the labour charge so just sign here and you can be on your way" I signed , said nothing , got in my car and drove off.

I honestly can't believe car garages these days. I buy a car then 2 weeks later something breaks and they expect me to pay? Anyway moral is, if you find yourself in a similar situation just stand your ground!!

Needless to say the car is back to tip top shape and I can now carry on enjoying it. Here's a pic of the window when I broke. I had to tape it up and drive around with it like this for nearly a week.unebu8az.jpg

What a set of bum holes!!!! Saying that, the skoda garage I bought mine from just as bad! (simpsons skoda Colne) customer service there is shocking when I took it for it's interior doing they said we give you a car anything u don't want I said a petrol because of the miliage I do with work so they gave me a 1.6 Octavia.... Ooookkkkk I went back theyaaid well it's booked now we have nothing else :/

Well recently I have a little bit if trouble with the 90 degree hose that comes from the egr valve on the left. It keeps coming lose and turning on an angle. Think I'm losing power from it. I managed to cable tie the thing on so it doesn't move anymore. Bought a new pipe with new lugs on so hopefully this will sort it out perminnently. I also been looking into egr deletes as well. Loving the car though guys. She's up for a service next month. Think I'm going to leave her standard for now. I'm buying a civic 1.4 as a project car so all my spare cash will be thrown into that

Got the boost gauge fitted the other day Posted ImagePosted ImagePosted Image I'm happy with it where it is but I'm going to re locate it as soon as I get my oil temp gauge and voltage gauge. The gauge reads that my car over boosts at around 1.9 bar then settles down to 1.5/1.6 bar. Does this mean my fabia is most likely mapped? Cheers

We'll the fabia is still going strong. Had a few clutch issues a while back and it's not slipped since. Replaced a top mount on front right , new drop links. Just fitted brand new brakes and pads to her as we'll. next month I'll purchasing the miltek downpipe and decat to match the rest of the miltek system. Other than that it's all good :) oil change coming up :) I'm currently really happy with the car , becoming familiar with the suspension system having replaced a lot of it myself :) but yeah hope you like the pics guys :)
