Picking up a 2 yr old Octavia VRS on Saturday

Featured Replies

Hi, brand new to this forum. I've been considering a "newish" car for months. Several colleagues suggested a Skoda owing to their constantly improving reputation and value for money. I took an Octavia VRS for a test drive and absolutely fell in love with it. So much so that I ordered a 60 plate manual petrol Octavia VRS on Friday and am driving 150 miles to pick it up on Saturday in my 1.8 Renault scenic which I'm part exchanging. What a contrast the drive back will be!? Can't wait.

First performance car I've owned ( unless you could class a 1.8 MG ZS as performance ). Can justify it now that the insurance is cheap. The benefits of reaching mid 30's ;-)

I'm like a big kid waiting for Santa. No additional spec. Alcantara interior, manual gearbox, black magic pearlescent, 17000 miles. £12k, registered Sept '10. Thoughts ?

Welcome aboard and I'm sure you'll love it.

Fantastic mate. Good luck to you!

I must admit, we have owned over 40 performance cars in the last 20 years, and I don't think I have ever looked forward to getting a car more than our VRS that is due next week!

Enjoy your drive home!

Brilliant. Are you getting a brand new one or 2nd hand ?

New Blackline buddy. The deals on new ones at the moment are fab.

Welcome and I hope you enjoy your new motor!

I know. Could have bought a brand new one for just over 15k. Was tempted.

Great choice! The getting straight in one idea almost swayed me to a nearly new one, alas must wait till December till I get mine.

Hi and welcome aboard.

Always nice to get a new car.

Hello Rje1977 and welcome along, hope the collection goes well
