Bought a year-old Yeti in silver, on 20/9, after much faffing. They seem to be a bit scarce in the 1.8TSI Elagance version. Next task is to see if we can improve on the indicated fuel consumption of 27.8mpg..... Due in large to heavy congestion from roadworks. I hope:) And a bit of heavy throttle on the open roads to give the engine a tune-up. Very impressive pull:) Checked oil: on minimum. Topped up. Annual oil service seems better choice as not anticipating more than 7- 8000 p.a which is why the diesel was not really considered. As we're at 310 m, winter tyres and wheels to be budgeted for next. They certainly worked on the Jazz of SWMBO. Now gone after 7 years faithful service.

Hello Nortones2 and welcome along

Hang the fuel consumption - just enjoy the ride

Hello and welcome, nice choice of yeti.

Thanks for the welcome folks. Winter tyres: Continental TS830P to be fitted to the existing alloys this week, if all goes to plan. Will look out for some Annapurna alloys for the summer tyres. May have to go new but no rush. Masterly inactivity gets results:) BTW, has anyone found it worthwhile to buy via Czech based suppliers such as the E-shop: http://tinyurl.com/9bpyjoc?
