15" 205 1.9 GTI Speedlines - genuine

Featured Replies

I've got a set of genuine Speedlines for sale. They all have good tyres with about 5mm of tread left and are genuine 15" Speedlines with the correct stamps etc. They are currenly on the car, as I'm about to put my S2 steelies on next week.

They are in white as you can see and although they look very good, they could do with a refurb if you are really picky. As an everyday wheel they are fine. I'm in no rush to sell as I quite like them really, but space is getting tight in the garage at the moment. I know it's a long shot putting them on here, but you never know. Apparently, there were different manufacturers of this style of wheel and I've been told that these are the more sought after Speedline version - lighter than the others.

The tyres are all Runway Enduro - 916, The profile is 195 45 R15 78W.

The tyre tread left on all four is :

Front Nearside - 6mm

Front Offside - 5.5mm

Rear Nearside - 5.5mm

Rear Offside - 5.5mm

I'm in Scarborough, North Yorkshire so they can either be posted or picked up - whatever suits you.

I'm after £140, let me know what you think.

If you've any questions, let me know.

Thanks,

Andrew.

To answer a question, they say 'Speedline' on them so that's why I called them that name. It's a bit like calling a vacuum cleraner a Hoover I guess. I'm not enough of a Peugeot buff - yet - to know their official name but they are apparently from a limited edition Brooklands 1.9 GTi. Hope that clears things up.

p.s. Yes they will fit a normal 106 including the Series 2.

There is 2 types of those wheels, early ones are made by a company with 3 letters stamped on wheels and the later ones were made by speedline and there same looking but there is differances

Lovely Rallye!

Yeah, I vaguely remember reading something on those lines. Something to do with quality and weight?

Lovely Rallye!

Thanks. I'm really enjoying it as a daily driver as it's brilliant fun. Every journey is an adventure. :)

Yeah and one set will take bigger brakes than the other but carn't remember which way it is

Hopefully it's my set!

I've been told on a Peugeot forum that these are the lighter set that clear the brakes. Happy days!

Just to help the sale, there is indeed two types of this wheel. You can have Speedlines or SMR's. on the Speedlines "Speedline" is engraved, as where on the SMR's "SMR" is embossed. It will say on each wheel which one it is.

Speedlines are Italian made and are roughly 1.1kg lighter than SMR's, this being worth a bit more.

Thanks for that. They all say Speedline on them, so are in theory the better of the two then? I haven't had any interest at all in them, either here on on two other forums (both Peugeot related). When you say worth a bit more, what would you consider a fair price including tyres? I don't need to sell them yet as I'm quite happy running them for now, but I'm itching to put my S2 wheels on for the OEM look.

Although they are worth more than the SMR's, in my opinion they would sell for around £100.

Postage is £23.99 by a company called Paisley Freight iirc.

I'd try with £100 collected or £120 posted if they were mine. Try websites such as wheel whores, piston heads, eBay etc if you have no joy here.

Other forums such as 206info & psooc might be worth a try also.

HTH.

I was heading that way really, so thanks for the confirmation. I'll adjust the price and see if they go.
