Im abit anal about things so if something wasnt to my liking or i thought wasnt quite right i changed it. she pulls like a train!! and im still not sure if im doing the right thing or not because shes been fantastic. The exhaust isnt loud but has a nice tone to it.

The Bodywork is typical of a 9 year old car, some tiny dings if looked for and theres stone chips around the car but ive touched up where i can. The sills are NOT crushed like alot of poor octys :( but pepperdashed by stones.

She is reliable, very fun and looks gorgeous. VERY reluctant to sell!!! The only time she let me down was when the battery died on me. Just being honest.

Tonnes of paperwork from the new purchase order to present, 2x keys, Clifford cat1 alarm with 2 fobs.

DOUBLE DIN HAS BEEN REMOVED, STOCK STEREO.

oops that helps. added and also more things added

mileage updated and a few bits added. will also be changing the front wishbones as i can hear a little creaking noise from them lol

Car on here with samé mods + a few more with less miles $2200 give you an idea what yours is worth ;-)

P.s has it got a front mount ??

  • Author

great thanks. i am open to offers of what people will pay, its confusing what a car is worth as ive been looking on autotrader and piston heads and for a similar spec and mileage they are asking upto 3100 which is why i said il listen to what people will offer to buy her for. shes a good one and will give someone alot of trouble free miles to come :)

no front mount, standard intercooler

standard intercooler running 242 lol really ???

can you please not damage my thread, i will find out the dyno print and post it up, i may be wrong and im thinking of something else but il post up for viewing

looks like a nice car, with all the important stuff done, glws!

Thanks :)

she had a few niggles when i bought her, took it to the local garage that ive been going to for 10 years and they looked after it for me with the intention of being a car for the next 3 or 4 years but i went in my friends scooby and im craving one again. Im in no rush to sell her but if someone comes along and wants to buy then i will :)

oops, doesnt really bother me on here but i will blank it for when its on auto trader, thanks for the spot ;)

bump

Seeing the stick you've taken I doubt I'd advertise a car on here! GLWTS

  • Author

thanks, its taking the wet abit as ive had a couple of inbox msg's from traders trying to offer me trade in price so they can make a few ££ too. Think i need to decide once and for all then pop her on piston heads or autotrader :)

My offer still stands (and i'm not a trader)

  • Author

i never said u were, my price still stands. as i said im in no rush to sell

I know you didn't, I am just pointing out that I'm not a trader and the offer I made is still there.

UPDATE: now being made redundant so keeping the car for now :)

Breaking my heart now but i think i need to sell :(

I was made redundant so kept her as i knew i wouldnt have problems but due to STILL not being able to get a job i think i need to go into a £500 banger for a bit.

She is now at 97k as ive done quite a few trips to London recently.

Just added a couple of bits to the list. she has now had 2x NEW front complete wishbones (skoda advised the bush had play so i replaced) and also had an engine flush and new oil & filter. Wasnt due but wanted it done with the motorway trips i was doing.

I AM OPEN TO SERIOUS OFFERS! NO silly ones tho as im not going to sell to a trader for peanuts so they can make their £££

May consider part EX for something cheap like a saxo, 106, diesel of some sort WHY :)

Hiya,

It looks like a really nice example of a well looked after Octavia, the sort I'm looking for. You will see cars offered for more on Autotrader or eBay but these cars often sit there for weeks/months then get knocked down to a reasonable price and sold.

Looking around this forum it wouldn't make any sense to pay more than £2500 for this car, tidy as it is. There are other very nice, decently modded, cars of around the same mileage about this price.

I'm not making an offer right now because there's another car I'm interested in and waiting to hear back from the owner, I'm sure that if you brought the price in line with other top quality Mk1's here on Briskoda you'd sell quickly to someone who'd look after it. You may get lucky with PH/AutoTrader. Probably worth considering advertising on both if time is an issue.

GLWTS, looks like a lovely Mk1.
