What has dealer done to the service interval display.

They said the settings, although correct, didn't match the display as I know only too well. They have reset the whole thing again so I'll have to wait another 350 miles to see what happens this time. If it doesn't show the correct info this time they say there is a problem with the instrument cluster which will need replacing under warranty.

Will this involve a complete dash removal? If it does I won't bother. The last time I had to have this done, not a skoda, the dash was plagued with squeaks and rattles for years after. I'll just go back to fixed service schedule instead which is what it defaults to anyway.

No, the cluster is held in by 2 screws and the whole thing can be taken out in less than 5 minutes.
