Lights help please!

Featured Replies

Ladies & Gentlemen,

I wonder if someone can help me regarding the fog lights on my Octavia (a 2012 1.4tsi Elegance)? I see lots of other Octavia's being driven with the fog lights on but without main, dip or side lights on, anybody know how this is achieved? Mine has auto lights but the only position on the light switch that allows the front fogs to be illuminated is when the lights are on, i.e. the last option.

Thanks for your help,

Stratford Boy

Go back to your dealer and ask them to activate the "Day running lamp" function. Or don't; IMO DRLs are pointless at best, and dangerous at worst because some people seem to think this means they don't need to switch their lights on ever!

On my Octavia Vrs you can turn the DRL's on/off by Maxi Dot ( the new white version) or by using the indicator stalk.

something like turn key to illuminate dash lights, hold down indicator stalk for 5 seconds to turn on, hold up for 5 seconds to turn off
