Just been buying a few bits for my forthcoming Yeti and I'm getting different advice from the dealer parts manager than you guys on this forum.

I'm told Yetis may or may not come already fitted with the drawer frame. Call me a cynic but I don't think Skoda would fit a frame unless the model is one where the drawer is standard.

I can't check my car as its still at Grimsby.

Would any of you like to check out if frames are fitted? I'd be most grateful.

Thank you. I had seen this super article and went armed with this information to order the bits. He was adamant that I did not need the frame. The experts on this forum say 'frame',.... parts manager 'no frame'. I phoned and he shifted to 'some need frames, some don't'. So I said order the frames. No....because you might not need them....and I can't return them to Skoda.

I'm just a bit miffed....still no car....and extras not going well.

It does seem that Skoda won't consider 'sale or return' , which is why my dealer had to rob a showroom Superb to prove my telephone control unit was borked!

They won't consider it because they can't do it to their central parts warehouse, without a charge being made against them.

Seems perfectly reasonable to me.

I think my issue is about whether I need frames or not. I don't expect the parts man to lose a restocking charge but I do expect him to know what parts I need.

Allocated chassis number to Skoda UK for exact build details I'd have thought?

The problem is that even with a chassis number you can't tell exactly what is fitted to a seat that has been delivered from an outside contractor 30 minutes before a car is built. And yes that can happen.

It only needs the outside contractor to fit a couple of runners by accident, or there to be a shortage of seats without runners so they fit ones with the right fabric.

OK. I am persuaded. I will wait until the car is at the dealers and check myself. To be fair I'm told parts delivery is 24 hours.

I fitted one using the info provided by Sanqhars link. Total cost was £37 from local service dealer. I understand that it is already fitted in Elegance models.

I still have not heard my car has been delivered so I guess its next week now. My dealer is charging about the same price......with the frames...which are reallt plastic open boxes. I really liked them on my Tiguan and they look the same
