Raised my fabia on coilovers now it's clunking and grinding ?

Featured Replies

Any help would be amazing I got my vrs on Saturday and it was as low as the coilovers would go ( silly ) so I would it up around 35 mm today now when you pull away swiftly there is a clunk and a metallic grinding but if you touch the bracked it clunks again and you are left with a knock ??? Nightmare !!! Help

My guess is that shorter drop links have been fitted. Because you've raised it up the drop links are now too short rather than too long.

Might be the drop links or the top mounts have had it

It had new top mounts , stupid question time how would drop links cause the grind ? ( sorry to be stupid )

Standard drop links are very long. When you lower the car they make the ARB rub on the drive shaft. (Push it down) but now you've raised it they might be to short.

Someone will be along to confirm :)

That's the only thing I could think of - if all you've done is raised it anyway :)

The weird thing is the grind is not all the time

But the roads ain't all the same either ;) but new OEM drop links, or adjustable ones bud

Put it back on standard suspension , coilies caused nothing but trouble for me in the past. Check to see if the wheel wobbles whilst jacked up. I had this problem on my old car it was track rod ends
