twitchy rev counter

Featured Replies

anyone else noticed the rev counter twitch when you you put your foot on or off the gas peddle?

not talking big movements, just gently, not enough to alter the speed of the car just light touch just enough to take the throttle position sensor off minimum and back off again

the needle twitches down 1-2 needle widths whether putting foot on or off peddle

not an issue just something i noticed when bored the other day

Have noticed the same - I put it down to the slight movement of the engine on its mounts (was the same on my Scirocco) taking up the torque which allows the engine speed (relative to the road) to momentarily change.

if that was the case why the downward twitch when you both put you foot on and off the throttle? surely one would twitch up and one wou;ld twitch down, not both down as appears to be the case?

Very true...

Flex in the DMF? Nope - that would probably give the same effect...

i think it is just a software glitch, that has no impact so low down on the fix list

was just curious if it was across the board or just my car
