90 degree bend to egr valve

Featured Replies

I've just taken off my EGR Delete pipe and put on my original EGR, but now when I hit boost there is a very high pitch squeal /Whistle, but only for a second or two. My 90 degree bend to the egr valve is abit loose, could that not be making a tight seal and sucking air in which is making the high pitch noise? As I'm guessing its only going to be a small amount getting sucked in?

Any help would be great thanks :)

Yes a high pitched noise is air escaping through the smallest of gaps.

So will it be sucked in or is it being forced out? Looks like the EGR Delete is going back on :(

No forced out.

How do i prevent this from happening as it sounds awful :(

Well it needs to be flush and tightened without any leaks try a mikalor clamp on it.

i have a spare one of these pipes that does not leak if you need it, i have just done the egr delete.

It seems fine this morning, it was the pipe that goes from underneath the egr to the turbo that must of not been tight.
