Hi all

Ive eventually turned on my DRLs in my Monte (yak) they are YELLOW

Ive read post after post about LED P21 and CREE Led

I really need the expertese of the forum to help me

basically i want

1. To replace the DRLs with white LED -quickly and easily as possible

2. Know that what im using is legal (i cannot afford any more points!)

I know this has been covered many times but im really confused and need some clarity on what to buy (a link would be great) - or if anyone has any for sale ill buy them.

Just fitted a set of led bulbs onto a mates bocanegra for him instead of the yellow fogs

Agree mate just abit of harmless banter and leg pulling, no offence meant or taken. Funny to see the reaction tho!

P.s Monty doesnt need the bright white LEDs as its travelling so slow everybody has more than enough time to get out the way lol ;-)

Back on topic for a moment....

In my Superb I have tried:

Mtec filament bulbs .... crap

27(?) SMD LED's .... OK while they lasted (18 months) but were not very bright, ideal as an DRL, but it didn't produce any useful light to see with (not what DRL's are designed to do I know.)

and now hove the Cree LED's .... all I can say on these is WOW, you simple cannot compare them to anything else I have seen or tried, bright, white and they actually light up my neighbours fence in the morning! get them

Back to topic - did anyone find any LED bulbs that don't give errors would be interested to know and from where. Even if I'm 105 slow I'd still love some white bulbs

Tried your link agree the CREE LEDs look fab - not sure if they are legal? But don't think they are compatible with the canbus?

My Superb needs CANBUS bulbs also and these do not give off an error.

I honestly did not look on them to see if they are CE approved or not, but providing they are not dazzling would anyone check them?

If they are Damn!! I would have ordered them instead of led - but drop down link in eBay says they are not compatible with a 2012 monte

That's the same as I bought and I am now running, all the DRL's fitted to the foglight housings use the same bulbs.

A P21W is also called an 1156

Oa ****! Would have preferred the Cree - ill email them see if I cm cancel and get them! Thanks for the heads up - wish I'd waited until later today to order

I bought an identicle set from a different seller for my 2010 facelift Fabia 2 elegance and they didn't light up at all in the DRL socket. Do they only work in Monte? Or perhaps i have a duff pair?

I dont know mate, I've only tried them in my Monte. I believe it's an polarity issue with some of these LED's and the way the DRL's are wired up in certain Fabia's. I know it's mentioned on a thread somewhere on this forum.
