My New Greenline.

Featured Replies

Well almost had my Superb Greenline for almost two weeks now and am just about to pass 1000 miles. Thought I'd share my initial thoughts with you. Where to start, well, its exceeded all my expectations. I absolutly love it. It a pleasure to drive and Im very happy to notch up the miles in it. Already done 2 tip runs (1st at 3 days old!!!) and got some new fence posts in the back this week. I love the way the twin door works. Its so comfy and I cant get over how much space is inside it. I had an Insigina a few years ago which is the same size, but the Superb is soooo much bigger on the inside. I love the spec level as it seems to have everything I needed and so many nice little touches. I have noticed i've had to change down a bit more than I used to (traded in an Octavia Vrs) but I've not found it underpowered yet. My motorway run was on day 2 which was a trip from Portsmouth to Basigstoke and averaged 72mpg (maxidot). On my first tankfull I recorded 61mpg brim to brim which i'm well happy with. Octavia was averaging 47mpg. So glad I changed to the Superb and I'm looking forward to many years and miles in this car. Here are a couple of pics of her.

I really like that Bue. Hmmm, kind of makes me wish I went for it over the Grey but I wanted a change from blue.

What options did you go for?

That's a very smart looking car!

Thanks for the nice comments. I knew I wanted Petrol blue as soon as I saw it in the brochure, reminded me of my first Octavia I bought back in 2003. That was Admiral blue. I love the way it changes so much depending on sunlight intensity. Plus you dont see many around.

Spec wise its only got Bluetooth as an extra. I was looking at getting a Greenline S and putting a few options on it but after I had what I wanted it wasn't far off the SE price and you do get a lot more in SE guise.

Had to leave the dealers with out finding out what cars they had in for a quick delivery as their computers were not working. They rang back and said they had 2 cars, a Candy white with no options, or Petrol blue with bluetooth. That was excactly what I wanted so I oredered it. I really was expecting a factory order.

I really do love it and am not missing the oomph of the Vrs!!

Congratulations! Yours is the first Petrol Blue Superb I've seen photos of.

61mpg brim to brim is very good for a new car. My 11mth old Greenline Combi has covered 34,100 miles and is recording an average of 65.77mpg. If you're keen on recording your economy then sign up to spiritmonitor.de or fuelly.com.

I had a Superb twindoor and liked it a lot, but fancied a change this time around. The only downside is the fact that you can't stuff the boot very full, otherwise, the tailgate won't close. This is due to the Twindoor locking hinge protruding slightly.

How do you find the seats? I still prefer the seats in my Octy II.

I thought it was pretty good for a new car too. Recoding running costs on an app on my phone but I am thinking about using fuelly. I would live an estate, but without the offers it was beyond my reach. I do love the twindoor though and it's certainly big enough!!!

Seats wise I do prefer the Vrs. They seemed a lot more cushioned, and fitted me perfectly. The seats on the Superb seem narrow in comparison.
