What does a small toy hanging from the back of the car mean?

Featured Replies

Gee man often has some nonsense dangling from his rear towing eye.(if you don't know who Gee is check out his build thread in the octy section ) Every time he pops round for a cupper I instruct my seven year old son to remove said toy from Gee's car and do with it as he wishes. Gee has been round most weeks over the past year and my son has amassed quite a large collection of soft toys. 52 infact. Gee if you are reading this please feel free to pop over at the weekend for another cupper. Callum can't wait to complete his Smurf collection. Just the bearded papa one and the jobs a good un !

lmfao pete!! Im currently rocking a 3ft x 2ft teddy bare just to traumatise young children as they see a fluffy bunny exiting down the road at high mph!

i have not had nowt on the car since my green dice as they fell off after a track session with mr W8. to all the gay, chav, idiot driving comments.. behave yourselves!! towing eye is in ya face ugly so it just a little fun to hide it. Have done it to all my cars since the day of my scooby! Daym your furby friends are a little mean pedro!

Known as 'drift charms', they are often put onto the car to show that the driver is a tw@, can't actualy drift, and has a rather small appendage.

(and what a 600th post!)

Shall we get Colin one? :giggle:

I love the irony of them nearly always being on FWD drives in that case! Usually low powered ones too.

in the USA it means you want to race

My mates used to put them on eachothers cars to make them look like idiots and see how long it took to realise :) about the only smidgen of fun i've ever seen them used for lol

Thankfully I'd usually notice fairly quickly :)

I did look quite cool when I had one on, looked like the smurf was sitting on the floor lol

Drfit charms to provide good luck on the Japanese Touge... apparently.

I remember seeing a documentary on the discovery channel about street racing in america. And apparently (out there anyway) they are a sign of saying "im game for a race" :)

Alot of the hondas i saw on the programme had them..the honda scene is massive out there. I love my hondas so i was in my element haha!

But im sure over here people just do it to "look cool"

How do you rock a teddy bare? That'd leave it bald, furless...
