Subwoofer in the spare-wheel compartment?

Featured Replies

Has anyone tried to build a subwoofer for the spare-wheel compartment?

Seen it been done in loads off cars before, but our compartment is quite thin tbh!

I have a 10 inch sub inside the spare wheel. I have a full size spare wheel too. if u remove the spare wheel there's plenty of space for a 12inch.

A dog guard is best for keeping your woofer in and eliminates noise pollution too.

Okay, thinking off building a custom-box for the boot there but worried that it will be too small for an open-port!

How do you feel about your 10" sub? Enough punch and speed for some speed-metal?

Probably better off with an open sided isobaric for speed metal.

Has anyone tried this one?

it's an easy option if you don't something already made. for the same price you could buy a sub and make your own box for something better.

It's in a sealed box. if you want speed and punch generally sealed is better.

I just put a full sized spare in my wheel well, surely you can fit a speaker-in-a-box in that space (unless the VRS has a different sized well?)?
