skoda felicia fun problem :(

Featured Replies

hi,

i have gone to drive my fun today and while driving i had a problem...the revs just dropped and i lost all power after a few seconds it would pick itself up and go again. it did this 4 times on the journey anyone had the same problem and got any ideas?

thanks jack

Hi jackmx131, it sounds similar to an issue I've had on and off but not most recently (prob just cursed myself for saying that!). I initially did the usual like plugs, leads etc but it didn't solve the issue. Eventually and with advice through Brisky, I accessed the throttle body and cleaned with a proprietary cleaner. Then reassembled and realigned by effectively disconnecting the ecu for a period of time. This is technically not exactly the right realignment approach but it's what I did and touch wood no problems since. So in your case the throttle body would be my focus.

Any luck with the tonneau yet?

Hi Rob, thanks for that. I will look into it. There is one on eBay and I think I am going to be bidding on it :)

^ sorry I meant to add after you've reconnected the ecu, advance the ignition to on & leave for around 20 - 30 seconds and then start. If you don't want to touch the ecu just disconnect the battery for a short period. Effectively either way just don't fire her up straight away ;)

Distributors are pretty common to cause power loss etc. the hall sensor tends to start messing about
