What's the views on big mouth ( think that's the term ) bumpers

Featured Replies

Right I can't decide so thought I would get some opinions ,my furby seems at some point ha an intercooler witch has been taken back off hence no fogs and the big mouth job done , now I have no plans for an intercooler so what do you guys and gals think move the plate to one side and leave it of see if I can get a standard one and swap it over ?

The first option for me would be to try and swap it with someone who is planning a bigger turbo and need a FMIC and a widemouth, you may get lucky.

Its hard to tell in the photo how it looks, does it have the crash bar in place still or is there a gaping hole? If the latter, imo it would look better with a new bumper on it

The "Big Mouth" mod looks toss.

I was thinking the swapping route I must say, the crash bar is still in place on her

I was thinking about doing it mate but I mentioned it on here and was told it's a stupid thing to have unless you have an intercooler, but I suppose it's personal preference and wether you care what people may think. I think it looks alright though :)

I have one one mine, but my intercooler is on order. I did mine because i was painting the bumper so did it all in one go.

I do look at it and want a standard bumper sometimes, but once cooler is on, should look good. Or i'll cry

Basically, imo keep if your playing on buying an FMIC. Get a standard bumper if otherwise or you just dont like it aha

I like to think mine looks half decent

Looks good mate, is there no way of keeping fog lights with the intercooler? Do you think it would look stupid with a big mouth grill but no intecooler?

Whatve you got covering the fogs?

And itd be interesting to see your intercooler brackets if you have any pics?

was just some blanking plates with carbon effect. you need to remove fogs in order to plumb the boost pipes in.

Since the crash ive just removed them all together so you can see pipes, i quite like it as it is now (bar the silver paint on corner of bumper lol)

It looks good... But it makes it look too modified for me,

There are a lot of people that have done it and regretted it.

I run a FMIC - Once the number plate is removed I have cut away the Inner number plate surround and a bit of the crash bar to allow extra flow.

It does not get hot on the road only the track.
