Thinkin to get remap my autobox car,

Has anyone had it done?

I know after remap there is warning for clutch if high torque map is done.

How does it look on automatic gearbox, will that knacker gearbox, or any slip possible, or its stronger than normal and cope bhp/torque

Some idea of which Autobox or type of Automatic you mean will help,

& some idea of what engine, the standard BHP/Torque etc.

I have had a few engines with a fair amount of power going through standard auto boxes,

& then a little extra with the likes of an Original Mini Automatic

that could not cope, but the it was not so great with standard use anyway.

So it all depends.

an Example, 5th Gear and VBH adding NOS to a Diesel Golf, they used an Automatic Golf.

Any decent mappper will map to suit the car.

If it's an autobox and that will take lower torque to the manual, they will drop the torque down. If the auto will take more, they may even ask you if you want more power etc.

If they don't know how to do this, then simply walk away and go to one of the site sponsors.

A normal torque converter auto can usually take more power than a manual box I think.

If it's a DSG or similar you may be faced with clutch slip etc just like on a manual.

I mean car is Saab 9-3 2008 1.9tid 150bhp dont know that gearboxes, but its 6speed autobox with paddle shifts so possibly its like kind of tiptronic

Tried ask on saab forum but grandads seems to not being helpful at all not even one reply

Have you got someone that is going to MAP it.

I am all for tuning, not sure that would be my choice to spend on, i think i might stick with reliability first.

Best find out exactly what Autobox it has and in what other car/engine/torque its used with.

like, is there a 180 bhp version with the same box?

Story is I got it for about 2years now, wife uses it, I used to got vag cars mostly skoda,

I ll find out more about box, but was courius if that is possible in safe way to got it done,

Thats the car from that link, I ve driven 180 ttid but dont think is big difference to me

I havnt got anyone to map it yet,

Obviously tuners from here havnt got experience/maps for them

Hirsche performace too expensive and thats only 20bhp more max,
