Warning / hazard triangle.

Featured Replies

Got my superb last weekend and I'm still finding new things on it :)

I got round to checking out all the bits in the boot and have found where the hazard triangle should go (I think). Depression at the back with 2 straps.

Any idea where to get a triangle from that will fit in the gap? Have seen some on the bay but not sure if they are the right ones.

Cheers.

When I checked my Superb on collection I noticed no Triangle, a word with the salesman and one appeared. On the continent where I am at the moment 2 are required if you are not on a dual carriage way, luckily I have a spare!

Genuine Skoda one for less than a tenner...

I think I saw somewhere a full Skoda emergency kit for £18. Can't remember where though - and I have been looking.

And that one fits ok in the area in the boot for the triangle?

If it was to fit fine it should go vertically and it is not - straps are useless in such case :wall: .

But better this one than none :giggle: .

59 plate had one 62 plate didnt - swapped it over

rubber door bin liners now omitted so these swapped over too.

v.nice sales lady

Just in case anyone is tempted - the warning triangle/first aid kit for £6.99 in Lidl doesn't fit vertically inside the boot righthand storage area. It's 43 cm long (45 cm across the diagonal). I reckon to fit vertically in the straps it needs to be 40 cm max.

Not sure what the talk about fitting vertically is about......

I have the Tesco one, and it fits perfectly into the horizontal cut-out located just below the bottom lip of the hatch opening. There are two rubber straps which hold it securely in place..

Both my side storage areas are fully used.

  • Left hand (looking into the boot) contains Heavy Duty jumplead set, 12V compressor and 1 litre of Castrol Edge in Skoda pouch.
  • Right hand contains 5 litre of pre-prepared screenwash, filling funnel and First Aid Kit.

Maybe it's just the hatch/twindoor (and every other VAG car I've owned) that have the horizontal cut out in the boot lid. No such luck in the estate (MY12 atleast), I'm sure there's a logical reason. Just get a strap in the storage area to hold one in place, and if the triangle is longer than Skoda's specs it can fall out when you take something else out. Not the worst drama in motoring life, just a little annoying.

Maybe it's just the hatch/twindoor ...

No such horizontal storage area in estate... pity thou :(

Its the same on the Octavia, on the hatch there is a slot to store a triangle horizontally just under the boot lock, on the estate it is in a cubby hole on the right of the boot (vertical).

Have I got this right, the Tesco one fits in the hatch slot, and the Skoda one is okay for the RH cubby in the estate?
