Looks very good buddy, clean too

Have you noticed much difference in handling/grip with the new wheels?

I know you probably won't be lowering it, but if you do at least your engine doesnt hang down as much as the PD lump :)

You'll be fine lowering it with some Eibach springs (assuming your insurance company doesn't sting you too much for the pleasure) - even my PD100 doesn't scrape over all the speedbumps we have round here :D

Chris

I had a loan car before i got the vrs which was the silverline 1.2 HTP

that 3 cylinder engine is quite nippy if you red line it and seems to hold the corners lovely

Yeah it really holds well now... great on corners feels like no matter how you swing it it will not let go!

Well done Fabia 12v I really like it. A baby vRS on a budget

Skodayouth you have PM...

I Suppose I do, not really fantastic with the pc,

I cant Find the Official Figures On the Site Since the 1.4 8v (68HP) isn't manufactured anymore, but how does the performance compare to the 1.2 12v, It probably doesent sound as good, but in performance terms what's the 1.4 8v Like, I haven't really taken it out yet.

Really nice work! Me likes it! :)

How much did the acceleration drop down with the new wheels?

I've put the pedal to the metal (:)) and the speedo was at 185km/h (could possibly go up to 190km/h but the road was coming to an end :D). I read somewhere that the speedo was 3% accurate so that would translate into 179km/h. Not bad at all :)

Nice work......I used to have a 1.2 Classic (9V though, 54bhp!!!!!) Part ex'd it or a vRS.

The 3 cylinder engine did sound quite good though so the cotton filter would prob make it even better

Was very strange experience, having a car of the same dimensions but totally different. It was like upgrading EVERYTHING in one go! It actually felt totally different and even seemed bigger though than the 1.2.

I debadged my 1.2 (Fabia lettering and 1.2 HTP and Classic badges) added B-Pillar trims and chrome exhaust and had the wing mirrors colour coded improved it no end but lacked things like alloys and fog lights.

I've taken the Fabia lettering off my vRS, I'm very tempted to remove the vRS badge though, possibly replace with a 1.2 or SDi.

If you want to hide it's power, why not stick an octavia badge on the back? :D

The figures are slightly better than the 1.2 12v because it has slightly more power and torque, top speed was around 100 I think and 0-62 in about 14.5-14.9s.

The advantage of the 1.2 over the 1.4 is that it is cleaner and more economical whilst still being close on power.

I've been in one in the Czech Republic at an indicated 120MPH on the speedo and when you rev it hard the engine really screams nicely :)

Delroy - I know of a remapped octy 4x4 owner who has a 1.4 badge on the back of his car :):)

:) looks tasteful n classy, i want alloys :( but my bank balance is something like 40P guess thats student life!

But dont worry this is as far as it goes.... this is not ever going to be a chav/boyracer modded car!

Want to keep the car looking as a "Skoda" not a "Halfords GTI Wannabe"

Plus I have a very limited budget anyway.... Now

Looks very nice. Good job.

What college do you go to? West Thames?

Richmond College

take off the nasty fabia and htp badges ;)

That looks very smart and restrained. Well done!

Your pride and joy, and it says a lot about you!

none of the pictures work for me :'(

Try the VRS front bumper next - its pretty much a straight swap for the standard one plus you may need fog lights.

I can't see the pics :(

Me neither :(
