Few Things About My fabia

Featured Replies

Hello,

Its my frist post on this forums i just have passed my test. And Im going to buy Fabia around 2002r 1.9 TDI Blue or Black (they very hard to find in good price) im getting the car in two weeks time and i want to prepare for cosmetic changes which im gonna proceed on the car.

What first things i should do after buying a car i mean changing oil etc..

Firstly is there any company which will change my speedometers or will change leds behind them.

I already saved 300 pounds on Radio Amp and Sub woofer so if you know anything about any nice setups an advice would be nice. Dont care about make i want radio in blue collour with usb and mp3.

I know this post sounds silly but i really like to know that stuff i hope you guys can help me and hopefully in sometime i will be able to help as well.

Why would you want someone to change speedometers?

Other than that check for leaks from underneath..check service history and any reciepts.

I dont like the colour i found company they change Led behind them for 45 pounds :D

We have members on here that offer the LED change service from time to time.

Maybe a message to Dark hero or korban would be useful ;)

Ahh a speedo that looks like a Golf but is not a Golf :)

As Garry says there are a couple of members that have changed the LEDs in their dash and are happy to offer a service to other members.

Has always seemed like far too much of a faff for me though - i'd just buy a green radio to match! - but then i guess i'm not 17 any more!

Me too, Got a Sony and a Kenwood that both illuminate green.

That said, I do think white display and red needles would look good.

And the lock doors button in red. The rest I'd leave green though.

:) i love blue colour xD thats why i want blue speedos :D im getting SDI 1.9 ... insurance gone higher ;/ for 1.9 tdi they want 3000 and for 1.9 sdi 1800 which is huge difference.

What u can say about this funny chipbox they sell on ebay is it worth buying.

And how about lowering the car dont wat to spend 500 pounds on supsension i was thinking to spend maximum 200 pounds :p i know sometimes there is no way to spend less but i hope there is:P

Welcome,

Learn the car for what it is first before you stick eye candy or performance mods to it. you'll appreciate the add ons more that way.

Can I ask why a fabia if your going for sdi? You seem to be a person who wants a bit of fun in the car..

The SDI isn't really tuneable as such. They can be remapped

but the gains don't justify the cost. You may get an extra 8-10bhp

if that.

It's designed for economy so put away all that money you'll

be saving on fuel and put it toward something faster.

+1 I know too many people who modified their first car and ended up crashing it and it becoming a huge waste of money. Learn how to drive and how to drive your car and then whatever you feel could be improved, work from there.

I agree that you should drive it as is first then modify it - tdi's obviously remap better but an increase in bhp can catch out the inexperienced - just take care and have fun -
