The discounts are arranged, he is just collating all the prices and part numbers, because this group buy is going to include Mk1/2 fabia, Mk1/2 Octavia, Mk/5 golf so there are alot of mods for the platforms to get the part numbers for.

This is the reason why i wasnt interested in the whiteline ARB.

Lots of guys with the Mk1 fabia found the whiteline bar gave a nice improvment on a 100% stock car, however, if you have lower/stiffer suspension it doesnt make much of a difference, hence why loads of guys swapped to the jabbasport rear ARB which did make a difference on cars with stiffer suspension.

Will these anti roll bars fit a Fabia TSI with "sport chassi"?

Once he has sent me the details i will confirm. Id imagine it will fit.

For anyone just fitting a rear bar I would wonder if the 25mm one might make the back end rather too lively.

Any thoughts?

I wouldt say you are better off with the whiteline when on std springs, i guess it all depends on what you are after really.

FWD cars benefit more from Rear ARBs than they do front ARBs. However, doing both the front and rear ARB will give the biggest improvement whilst maintaining the most neutral handling balance, so if you are wary of oversteer, then IMO go for both the front and rear bars rather than just a rear.

The problem i foresee with the whiteline ARB is because its not that thick, when you add an uprated front ARB you'll be at risk of completely cancelling out the whiteline rear ARB.

It's not all down to the thickness of the bar , I can confirm the Whiteline ones works perfectly well with eibach springs and I don't have mine on the hardest setting

I appreciate there is alot more to the strength of the bars than just tickness, but the manufacturing techniques, and materials from the top brnds will be neigh on identical so thickness is a pretty decent guide.

Obviously Ive not tried the whiteline ARB personally, so its not personal experience. I was merely going off what many guys ion the Mk1 fabias have experienced between the whiteline RARB and jabba RARB.

On a side not, Hurdy, and Blade with their Whiteline rear ARBs on their Polo GTIs both said the exact same thing as the guys in the Mk1 fabias. it didnt make much of a difference on their cars, which both ahd suspension upgrades before hand.

Can some one tell me what benefits can be had by fitting front, rear and both to a VRS on eibach springs? Does it reduce wheel spin and TC interruption on the inside wheel in corners?

I have modded cars in the past and have ended up with a car that corners quicker and has more grip, but is less fun to drive. I don't want to do the same again.

Front bar alone. Upgrading a FWD car with stiffer front bar on its on will change the dynamic balance of the car so that it produces more understeer. This is something you wouldnt do.

Rear bar alone. Upgrading a FWD with a with a stiffer rear bar on its own will move the dynamic balance of the car away from the stock understeer nature of the car. This is something you would do. But bear in mind you are altering the balance of the car substantially away from the stock setup.

Front and rear bars. Upgrading a FWD with stiffer front AND rear bars will give you all the benefits of upgrading a rear bar, but without substantially changing the balance of the car. Basically because the car resists body roll so much more, the wheels maintain their optimum geometry(thus the largest contact patch possible) you will have much more grip thus less understeer.

The trick here is that the Front and rear bars must be balanced well. On my Octavia vRS I had the front and rear eibachs. This kit was designed for a Golf GTI which has a much lighter and shorter back end. i found the rear bar wasnt stiff enough, and upgraded it to an even stiffer rear bar to get the desired effect. FWD cars should have a stiffer bias on the rear ARB compared to the front bar.

The ARB wont give you any straight line grip advantage, however through the bends you will have LOTS more grip and LOTS more traction. Where you really notice aan anti roll bar upgrade is in quick direction changes. My car on lowering springs has less body roll than stock but through chicanes it really struggles with roll. I for one always upgrade the ARBs on my cars, and IMO they have always been the best chassis mod i have done to any of the cars. They are definitely the least intrusive of all the chassis mods.

IMO the best setup for all weather, everyday road use would be front and rear setup.

I like my trackdays and want the car to move closer to an oversteer bias so will be trying a rear ARB on its own in the stiffest setting ( thats not to stay it will oversteer everywhere because it wont and you can adjust them if they are to stiff anyway) but a rear bar alone will involve the back of the car more and allow trail braking. If it doesnt work for me, i will add the front bar at a later date.
