Suitable centre caps for OEM 16" steel wheels

Featured Replies

Right I have my OEM 16" steels ready to go on with Winter tyres, now I need to sort out a set of centre covers (not full wheel trims) like you get on a T5 etc, but I need to know which ones fit, don't mind if they have a VW badge on them .

So who has fitted centre covers and from what (VW part number if possible).

Done a search but it doesn't seem to be definite as to what they come off of.

Thanks.

Me 2. Have a set of black steel and not got new car yet so dont know if there is a dust cover thing over hub or just open, therefore needing caps...

Just put on my steels. Do I really need to protect the bare hubs in the middle?

Quite like the bare look!

Already? Bit previous no ?

I have just put on my winters too. I have no centre caps but give the hub a coat of black Waxoyl and some WD40 on the nuts under their plastic covers.

Getting cold here now, especially in the mornings. We also live on a 10% hill. Mrs D taking the kids to school in the Octy - safer with the winters (and less alloy damage too!)

Having read this thread, have just ordered some clear Waxoyl for the hubs. Will put some on the wheel nuts too..........

My winter wheels sprayed silver with Caddy trims (filled to get rid of Volkswagen written around the edge) then a dirty great big hole drilled in them and a Skoda wheel centre logo pushed in. Just had 3 layers of lacquer done - see how long they last. Now have to put them on the Scout.
