i have a 1.8t which im starting to mod but could you tell me what this blank is for

It's for deleting the sai pump on your engine. It sits down the front and works for a minute or so when engine is started from cold. But also makes car run like a sack of crap when they age.

I can say it works perfectly. I had the first 1 :)

How hard are they to fit mate

Dont you have to have resistors when you take it out, do you do them too? Or know where to get them?

yea you need the resistors ....

No need to use any resistors if you have a decent remap. I just asked Shark to remove the system from the map, so no CEL or dodgy resistors required.

Hmm a genuine reason to remap ;) ill use the standard vrs for a bit then will be considering this! :)

i am thinking of using shark for my remap so would be better to get them to remove sai first.and is the system easy to remove?my car has covered 100k but feels fine at moment

No need to remove the hardware before mapping it out. Shark deactivated my SAI system completely, then it took me about 6 months to get around to pulling out the pump etc.

Pulling out the pump and pipework just gives you loads more room to work at the front of the engine and less clutter.

Would this turn the CEL light on if you didnt put resistors on ? Im looking to go for a stage 2 in april time and might get shark to map this out along with the sensor for the decat
